FMR records. The label, run by Trevor Taylor, has a large number of interesting and varied recordings. Trevor himself is an accomplished percussionist.
Adjabel is a rock roots group with Atissou Loko from Haiti on percussion and others. They often collaborate with other musicians and groups.
Xavier Roux is a turntablist who develops electro-acoustic sounds. His influences are eclectic. He creates film and theatre music as well as personal sound projects including joint work with other musicians. He is also a DJ at
Radio Libertaire.
The visuals for 'Breathing Out' were designed by
Jean-Louis Crudenaire. He is both an accomplished graphic artist and an interesting short-film maker. His latest film,
'Nuages en Compagnie' , is now available.

Singer and Guitarist
Jackson Tmaque mingles music from his homeland of Haiti, including Voodoo rhythms, with American Blues, Reggae and French Songs. You can listen to online extracts from his first album, 'Conte Urbain' which came out in Sept. 2003.
Bruce Coates, who wrote the sleeve notes for 'Breathing Out', is a talented soprano and alto saxophone player, focusing mainly on free improvisation. He has recently recorded a very fine soprano duet CD with Paul Dunmall (see below), that combines closely evolving, intertwining lines with an appealing sense of fressness and variety. Steve Reich's official site offers the opening section of the world premiere of "Music for 18 Musicians", from 1976. It's well worth a listen. Note that the recording is live and no electronic instruments or devises are used.
